Make Your Own Light Up Minnie Mouse Ears

Whether you’re looking for a Disney ear accessory to wear on a night out, or you want to add some fun to your next Halloween outfit, we have an easy DIY that will have you wearing your favorite Disney character in no time. All you need are some fillable plastic disc ornaments and a set of fairy lights, which are included in the instructions for this project.

First, you’ll need to make a template for the mouse ears on your fabric and cardboard. Use a pencil or your chalk to trace two identical circles on paper. These circles should be between 3″ and 5″ (7.6 and 12.7 cm) in diameter and have a 1/2″ (1.27 cm) tab at the bottom of each circle to help keep them in place.

For the bow, cut a 10″ (25 cm) length of ribbon or fabric. It should be 5″ to 8″ (12.7 to 20.3 cm) wide. You can choose a ribbon that’s similar to the bow Minnie wears or you can use a contrasting color for a little extra fun!
